TICOON is the acronym of 'ontwikkeling van een optimalisatieTool voor Individuele COnfiguratie en uitlijning van Onderbeenprothesen’ (development of an optimization tool for individual configuration and alignment of lower leg prostheses). This research is conducted within MOBILAB, the multidisciplinary research lab for biomedical and rehabilitation technology of Thomas More.

This project fits within the TETRA program of IWT (agency for Innovation through Science and Technology). TETRA projects are TEchnology-TRAnsfer projects, conducted by the institutions of higher education.

In this project, we will develop an innovative tool for the prosthetist to optimize the configuration and alignment of lower leg prostheses, starting from the individual demands of the prosthesis-user.
